Watch Will Arnett As an Alcoholic Cartoon Horse for Netflix

Will Arnett, like H. Jon Benjamin, has the voice of an asshole. (Don’t act like you never wanted to smack Gob Bluth or The Lego Movie‘s Batman or David Cross’s boss on The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret, lovable as each character’s awfulness can be.) So it’s fitting that Netflix has cooked up BoJack Horseman, which seems to be an Archer-ish irreverent animated comedy about another egomaniac manchild boozing and quipping all the livelong day. Only in this one, the dick — played by Arnett — is a talking horse and the washed-up star of  ’90s sitcom Horsin’ Around. (Now’s probably the most interesting time to tell you that former Disney CEO Michael Eisner produced BoJack through his Tornante Company.)

Aaron Paul will costar as BoJack’s human friend Todd (not Breaking Bad‘s Todd — totally different Todd), and Amy Sedaris plays BoJack’s ex-girlfriend and agent, who is a pink cat. There’ll also be appearances from Alison Brie, Patton Oswalt, Paul F. Tompkins, and a character named Quentin Tarantulino. “BoJack was designed by graphic artist Lisa Hanawalt and the series is animated by L.A.-based ShadowMachine,” Variety writes. The 12-episode debut season will hit Netflix August 22.
