Watch a 19-Year-Old Patton Oswalt’s First Paid Acting Gig
How much did Star Wars–filibustering comedy superstar Patton Oswalt get paid for his first acting gig? Three hundred (presumably American) dollars. And what was it? An educational video about student loans, because of course it was, that’s always how these things go, except usually there’s an even worse sweater vest involved, or perhaps a tragic haircut influenced by an uncritical teenage musical fandom. You can see the whole video above to get a sense of the scope of the project, or you can click here to skip right to Oswalt’s part. But you probably owe it to yourself to watch the entire thing and really earn Oswalt’s stand-up set five and a half minutes in.
