Bryan Cranston on Playing Lex Luthor: 'Call' Me Maybe
Ursula Coyote/AMC
Despite the movie being a couple years away, we’re already speculating as to who’ll play Batman (Brolin? Gosling?! Vin Diesel?!!) in the Man of Steel sequel. So why not chatter about Lex Luthor, too? With rumors rampant that Bryan Cranston is being targeted as Lex, Walter White himself weighed in. His thoughts?
“Give me a call,” our dude says, according to Metro. “I like Lex Luthor. I think he’s misunderstood. He’s a loveable, sweet man.” As to chopping off his hair again, à la Walt? “[My wife] wasn’t so keen on the bald head The bald head ages a man. It’s just that she didn’t know me that way, and the last six years it’s all of a sudden like sleeping with a stranger — who was less exciting than her own husband. So I don’t blame her for being upset.” So, in conclusion: Bryan Cranston would love to play Lex Luthor, even though it would mean definitely not having sex with his wife for another couple of years. OK, cool, got it.
