NBA Playoffs Playthrough: Celtics-Heat

Dwyane WadeBy the power vested in me by the poltergeist of Dick Van Dyke, I declare that it’s Friday and it’s time for another one of Anthony Richardson’s CPU vs. CPU NBA Playoffs Playthroughs. This week, Anthony is taking on the contentious Celtics-Heat Eastern Conference Finals.

One of the great advances Anthony has made in basketball commentary is his ability to see the floor, see the offensive sets and breakdown what teams are doing. When you hear him describe the Heat’s opening possession as, “Chalmers bounces, gets bored, gives it to a friend,” I mean … you’re just not getting that anywhere else.

Other highlights this week include insurance salesman Erik Spoelstra, the nicknaming of Mario Chalmers as “Naughty, Naughty Mr. Turkey,” and the beginning of what is sure to be a national craze: shouting “THUNDERCATS” every time Mike Miller take a 3.

As always, it is your duty as readers of the Internet and lovers of sports to follow Anthony Richardson and CPUvsCPU on Twitter. And while you’re at it, please subscribe to the CPUvsCPU YouTube page. You’ll be glad you did. You can also watch Anthony’s trailer for FIFA ’13 and all the new, yet to be real features that game may or may not include, right here.

This week, the prizes are back. So guess the score of Heat-Celts, Game 3, right in the comments. If you guess right you will win a picture of Kevin Garnett and his long-lost brother, ’70s British sitcom star Alf Garnett.

Enjoy it, folks.
