Nathan Fielder Would Like to Destroy Your Relationship Via Twitter
@nathanfielder/Twitter
Nathan Fielder, the otherwise gentle, pig-rescuing soul behind Comedy Central’s truly excellent small-business-advocacy half-hour Nathan For You, has a delightful habit of running “experiments” on Twitter, like asking his followers to “Text your parents ‘got 2 grams for $40’ then right after ‘Sorry ignore that txt. Not for you.’ Then tweet pic of their response.” (After untold groundings/disownings/will revisions, he did offer to personally explain the joke to skeptical prankees, so he’s not totally without remorse.)
Yesterday, he unleashed a new round of life-wrecking chaos, as illustrated in the tweet above. You can and should spend the next hour wandering through the flaming wreckage of the @-reply aftermath, watching untold relationships burn away in the conflagration of panicked text messages from worry-stricken significant others. Because what’s the Internet for if not watching other people suffer, hilariously, from a safe distance?
