Alison Brie and Adam Scott in Talks for ‘Sleeping With Other People’
Did you love Bridesmaids’ raunchy female swagger in 2011 so much you tried to keep the party going with Leslye Headland’s Bachelorette in 2012, and found you loved that, too? Cool, then, good news: Headland is set to make her sophomore writer/director effort with Sleeping With Other People, and Alison Brie and Adam Scott are in talks to star. Will Ferrell and Adam McKay’s Gary Sanchez Productions is producing.
“It was announced in September that [Kirsten] Dunst and Jason Sudeikis were set to star in Headland’s film about a womanizer (Sudeikis) who befriends a serial cheater; ultimately, the two develop a romantic attraction to each other,” The Hollywood Reporter writes, with Dunst since dropping out because of a scheduling conflict. Headland, who wrote this February’s About Last Night remake and was once Harvey Weinstein’s assistant, seems to have a keen awareness for projects falling apart, telling THR, “Films are always like, it may not happen, we’ll see. Even going into the premiere of Bachelorette, I was like, ‘It still may not happen.'”
If you never caught Bachelorette — which starred Scott and Dunst as well as Rebel Wilson, Lizzy Caplan, and Isla Fisher — and want an idea of what kind of hands your buddies Adam and Alison will be in, here you go:
