Hollywood Prospectus Podcast: 2014, Matthew McConaughey, and Crime Movies
Focus Features
What do you need to know about this forward-looking episode of the Hollywood Prospectus podcast? In the opening, we mention French Montana’s new mixtape, Coke Boys 4, and everything went uphill from there. We did 30 solid minutes talking about Matthew McConaughey and how he is going to win 2014 with True Detective and Interstellar (if he didn’t already win 2013 with Dallas Buyers Club and The Wolf of Wall Street), and another 20 minutes speculating wildly about some 2014 crime movies we’re excited about — A Most Wanted Man, Nightcrawler, A Walk Among the Tombstones, The Gunman, and Kill the Messenger. Somewhere in there we talked about how Andy loves Munich, how Andy is like my mom, this Orson Welles commercial …
… and a ton of upcoming TV (The Strain, The Red Road, The Spoils of Babylon). Buckle up, kids. It’s going to be a bumpy year.
