Girls in Hoodies Podcast: Inside Llewyn Davis, Live TV, and Weird Watches
CBS Films
This week we’re in love with Inside Llewyn Davis, the new film from the Coen brothers starring Oscar Isaac in one of the best performances of the year and a sweet orange tabby in one of the best cat performances of the year. We talked about nostalgia and the Coens’ unique brand of comedy, and why Llewyn Davis truly is Frances Ha’s male counterpart. Then we moved on to NBC’s recent eureka moment with The Sound of Music Live! and offer some suggestions for live TV follow-ups. Basically, put John Waters in charge of whatever comes next and we’ll watch it.
We wrap up by taking a page out of the Right Reasons podcast playbook and share some of our Weird Watches of the Week. Parking enforcement, real estate, and those darned inescapable Housewives — we’ve found plenty of things to keep us entertained until the premiere of Fiddler Live!
