Climbing the Walls
This is how you wind up with ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2.’ Like its 2012 predecessor, the movie is competent but dull. It’s not desperation you feel, spending two more hours with Peter Parker and his computer-enhanced crime-fighting self. It’s indolent thrift. ‘Amazing 2’ really is the financial equivalent of swishing water around in a mostly empty jar of tomato sauce to make sure you get it all.
