Programming Alert: The Dumb Starbucks Episode of ‘Nathan for You’ Airs Tonight

Also in the Afternoon Links: ‘Friends’ without the laugh track, new Run the Jewels, and Ron Livingston on AMC.

Nathan Fielder jumped onto a lot of radars when he founded Dumb Starbucks. Tess Lynch visited the scene, and it was madness with a side of possible poignancy. Comedy Central quickly started streaming the eight-episode first season of Nathan for You on its website, and there was suddenly no excuse not to become a Fielderologist. Everything comes full circle tonight, when Dumb Starbucks gets it own episode. If it’s anything like Fielder’s previous extended concepts — “The Hunk,” “The Claw of Shame,” “Petting Zoo,” — we’re in for a paralyzingly funny treat.

Leonardo DiCaprio is having more fun than you and your 7-year-old cousin this summer.

“The first film was very early for green screen … People knew what they were going to do this time. The performances are 10 times, 100 times better.” —Robert Rodriguez on Sin City: A Dame to Kill For

Ron Livingston is playing Paul Revere in AMC’s first comedy pilot, We Hate Paul Revere.

Run the Jewels — Killer Mike and El-P — are coming back with a second record.
