Looks like somebody did their Breaking Bad homework and realized that handing Bryan Cranston a catchy line — “I am the one who knocks,” say, or, “It is going to send us BACK TO THE STONE AGE!” — is as good as sending Leonardo DiCaprio a script with a screamy part. He … will … own that shit. But other than a heavier dosage of Cranstensity, the new Godzilla trailer reflects the Godzilla teaser’s quick glimpses at Aaron Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen, plus the same luxuriant glimpses of destruction. There’s one key difference, right at the end: You get to see Mr. Zilla’s adorable face for a quick second.
True Detective auteur Cary Fukunaga is prepping a movie “set in a contemporary wartime context.” What does this mean for his adaptation of Stephen King’s It?!
Speaking of True Detective (are we ever not, these days?): HBO officially has another gigantic hit, averaging 10.9 million viewers per episode.
Coldplay dropped a sneak-attack single and video today. They’ve been paying attention to Bon Iver’s affinity for Auto-Tune and forest imagery. Sounds cool, though, so whatever. Great comedown from that Godzilla trailer.
As important as it gets: Paul Thomas Anderson’s adaptation of Thomas Pynchon’s Inherent Vice will hit theaters December 12. Courtesy refresher: It’ll feature Joaquin Phoenix, Reese Witherspoon, Owen Wilson, Maya Rudolph, Benicio del Toro, Josh Brolin, Jena Malone, and even Martin Short.
Haim’s new video comes from Warren Fu, who helmed the last few Daft Punk videos. And there’s choreography by former Aaliyah collaborator Fatima Robinson. (And they covered Beyoncé’s “XO” and made a very nice job of it.)
Speaking of Yoncé: The insanely sexy “Partition” video is now online, and it’s a little different from the one that came with the visual album. Do not watch this at work or with your grandparents. (Or at work with your grandparents.)
Joseph Gordon-Levitt will play French tightrope walker Philippe Petit, the one who walked between the Twin Towers in 1974, in what’s basically a dramatization of the stellar 2008 documentary Man on Wire. Robert Zemeckis is directing.
Jamie Lee Curtis is doing a CBS drama pilot. “The soapy medical show, based on an Israeli format, revolves around qua-druplets — three brothers and a sister — who grew up on a reality show. Curtis will play their mother.” Interesting premise.
Don Draper in two minutes. Music’s a little jaunty, no?

Robin Thicke and Paula Patton split up.
Holy crap, Kendrick’s dropping a verse on Tame Impala’s “Feels Like We Only Go Backwards” for the Divergent soundtrack. Won’t be able to sleep till that shows up online.
And here’s a snowy lil’ teaser for FX’s Fargo adaptation with Billy Bob Thornton.
