In case you missed it, Lost co-creator/showrunner/apologist/explainer Damon Lindelof loves Breaking Bad. He wrote a Heisenberg = Batman piece for Vulture last week, and now he has taken to The Hollywood Reporter to talk about how he’s ready, post-BrBa, to stop discussing the divisive/awful/pretty OK (no? just me?) end of Lost. “I’m sick of myself for continuing to beat this particular drum, so I can’t imagine how sick of it you are. If it’s unpleasant and exhausting for me to keep defending the Lost finale, aren’t you getting tired of hating it? And so … I, like Walter White, want out. To be free. And to grant you the same.” Then he offers a deal: You, the Lost haters, acknowledge that Lindelof knows your feelings (“I will think about your dissatisfaction always and forever”); in turn, he’ll “finally stop talking about it.”
- Speaking of BrBa (haha, that segue isn’t ever going extinct!), the Colombia-set remake has its cast. Jesse’s hella handsome! Hank’s a slick, young cat!
- Pusha T’s album, My Name Is My Name, is streaming, and it’s even more biblically massive than its name implies. Go be as amped as you were when you heard “Numbers on the Board” for the first time, only for 46 whole minutes.
- Sandra Bullock reiterates that you should not expect a sequel to The Heat. Typing that is the low point of my day. The Heat is everything. Is everything, was everything, and forever will be everything. Maybe no sequel’s OK. Too many feelings.
- Miley sarcasta-shames herself about the VMAs in her new SNL promos. What about the children, indeed.
- David Tennant (Doctor Who, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) will star in an American adaptation of Broadchurch, a show he already starred in in England.
- Way to cash in on the government shutdown but also be cool, AMC Theatres: free popcorn for furloughed government employees. (It’s a SMALL popcorn, though. There’s alllllways a catch.)
- If you missed your daily playthrough of Angel Haze’s “Werkin’ Girls,” you could fill your Haze quota with the new video for “Echelon (It’s My Way).”
- Colin Hanks is doing FX’s Fargo pilot. No one knows what Chet Haze is doing, though :
- Firstly, AARP The Magazine was made for this De Niro/Douglas/Freeman/Kline movie coming out. Secondly, the article with the four of ’em has some real wild quotes, like “Actors don’t have ages — we have age ranges.”
- Charlie Sheen did it, George Lopez did it, and now Kevin James is mulling a TV show with a 10/90 episode structure, where if the first 10 go well, the network buys 90 more. Oof.
