The story of the Compton Cricket Club has been pitched around ESPN almost as frequently as a Daily Show for sports. But when Grantland conspirator Joe Braswell suggested putting together a piece on it for the Grantland Channel, the timing felt right and the green light was given. Braswell went out and tracked down the cricketers, and learned that the CCC was born in downtown Los Angeles’s Dome Village before migrating to Compton, where it has changed the lives of many. We are proud to tell the story of the club here.
